Should educators be free to express their opinions?
Following this summer's debacle regarding Alpais Lam the question is now is being asked whether teachers should have the right to hold political opinions and be affiliated to political parties.
I had the experience of teaching at a university in China where they had a very efficient system for ensuring the "harmonious" nature of a teacher's teaching contents... a representative from the Communist Youth in every classroom monitoring what the teacher is saying.
